"Avoid CareerBuilder for Job Ads"
My experience with them was really bad, and when I reached out to get things sorted, they just threw a discount for future use at me twice (not that I plan on using their services again!). I didn’t get what I paid for and ended up stuck in a three-month contract.

"I would strongly advise against using CareerBuilder for job postings."
I had an extremely negative experience, and when I approached them to rectify the situation, they offered me a discount on future purchases twice (although I have no intention of availing any more of their services!). I did not receive the services I paid for and was trapped in a contract for a duration of three months.

"This Job Posting Board is super unreliable."
The service I received was just plain ridiculous. As an employer, I tried to sign up for their job posting and resume search services. I gave my credit card info and was told about a three-day trial. But soon enough, I couldn't access the service at all. I talked to 4-5 different customer service reps, but none could explain why my account was disabled. To top it off, I got "automated messages" from the company saying my issue was fixed, when in fact, nothing had changed with my account. It stayed suspended, and they couldn't give me any reason for it. This is beyond frustrating since our company was looking to post a job ad and find candidates, but we were stuck. The customer service experience was just awful. It feels like the service is run by a bunch of tech folks who don’t get user experience or how to talk to customers properly. I really recommend steering clear of this service for both employers and job seekers. It's super unreliable.

"This Job Posting Board is highly unreliable."
The service provided was absolutely ridiculous. As an employer, I made an attempt to sign up for their job posting and resume search services. I willingly provided my credit card information and was informed of a three-day trial period. However, I soon found myself unable to access the service. Despite speaking with 4-5 different customer service representatives, none of them were able to offer any explanation as to why my account had been disabled. To make matters worse, I received "automated messages" from the company falsely claiming that my issue had been resolved, when in reality, nothing had been resolved with my account. My account remained suspended and the company could not provide any explanation for this. This is incredibly frustrating as our company was trying to post a job notice and search for candidates, but we were unable to do so. The customer service experience was absolutely terrible. It seems likely that the service is being managed by a group of technical individuals who have no understanding of user experience or how to effectively communicate with customers. I strongly advise against using this service for either employers or job seekers. It is highly unreliable.

"I've been hit with a nonstop flood of spam messages, calls, and emails from fake job offers."
I made it clear that I wanted to be contacted via email only for recruitment purposes, but sadly, my preference was totally ignored. As a result, I began to get bombarded with a huge number of spam texts and calls from all sorts of bogus companies.

"I have been bombarded with an incessant stream of spam emails, texts, and calls from fraudulent job offers."
I specifically indicated "email only" as the preferred method of contact for recruiters, but unfortunately, my request was completely disregarded. Instead, I started receiving an overwhelming amount of spam calls and texts from various fictitious companies.

"Absolutely the worst experience ever!"
This site is a real hotspot for scammers. You’ll be hit with a barrage of texts, emails, and other messages pushing fake 'job' offers. I’ve thrown my hat in the ring for over 100 positions here, and not one genuine employer has contacted me. It seems like Career Builder is totally ignoring the safety of its users. You’ll often get emails packed with typos, and some might even ask for photos of your driver’s license, among other odd requests. It’s a real shame that folks can’t look for jobs without getting caught up in these scams. The scammers are downright ridiculous, targeting those who are really in need of work and facing financial struggles.

"This is absolutely the worst!"
This website is a hotbed for scammers. You will constantly be bombarded with text messages, emails, and other forms of communication offering fake "job" opportunities. I have applied to over 100 jobs on this site, and not a single legitimate business or employer has reached out to me. Career Builder appears to be completely neglecting the protection of its users. You will frequently receive emails riddled with grammatical errors, and they may even request pictures of your driver's license, among other things. It's unfortunate that people can't even search for employment without falling victim to scams like these. The scammers are incredibly foolish, as they target individuals who are desperate for work and struggling financially.

"Struggling to Cancel My CareerBuilder Account"
At one point, I thought it would be a good idea to set up a CareerBuilder account to apply for a job. But honestly, I didn’t finish filling out my details since I wasn’t looking to join their service—just wanted to throw my hat in the ring for one position.

Now, I’m in the middle of trying to cancel my CareerBuilder subscription and stop the flood of emails. But I’ve run into a few snags. First off, there’s no unsubscribe link in those emails. Then, there’s this ‘update preference link’ that just takes me to a page where I can only upload my resume—nothing else. And to top it off, the support link on their site gives me a 404 error, meaning the page is MIA.

I’m on the hunt for a phone number or any other way to get this subscription canceled.

EDIT: I did manage to send a deletion request, but I had to upload my resume first. Now, I guess I’ll just wait and see how smoothly the account deletion goes.

"I am unable to cancel my CareerBuilder account."
At some point, I decided to create a CareerBuilder account in order to apply for a job. However, I didn't complete the process of entering my information because I didn't want to join their service. I simply wanted to apply for one job.

Now, I'm currently attempting to cancel my subscription to CareerBuilder and stop receiving their excessive emails. However, I've encountered a few problems. Firstly, the emails lack an unsubscribe link. Secondly, the emails contain an "update preference link" which redirects me to a prompt where I can only enter my resume and nothing else. Lastly, the support link on the CareerBuilder website leads to a 404 error, indicating that the page cannot be found.

I'm currently trying to locate a phone number or any other means to cancel my subscription.

EDIT: I did manage to send a request for deletion, but I had to enter my resume first. Now, I will wait and see how well the account deletion process goes.

"Right now, I'm dealing with a similar issue and it's super annoying."
I'm in the same boat, and it's honestly pretty frustrating. It's tough enough to navigate through real job listings, and now I'm inundated with messages and calls saying they found my info on Career Builders and set up an interview. The jobs they present are typically not in my area of expertise and often hard to look into ahead of time.

"I am currently experiencing the same situation and it has been quite frustrating."
I'm currently experiencing the same situation, and it's really frustrating. It's already difficult to sift through genuine job offers, and now I'm constantly bombarded with emails and texts claiming they got my information from Career Builders and have arranged an interview. The positions they offer are usually unrelated to my field and often impossible to research beforehand.

"So many scams out there!"
This site is just a total scam! I really recommend steering clear of it. You’ll get hit with endless phishing attempts every day and waste your precious time going through bogus job postings. CareerBuilder should definitely be looked into and shut down for good!

"Careerbuilder is just a scam site."
I really recommend steering clear of Career Builder when it comes to job applications. Most folks on that site might seem legit, but honestly, they're just a bunch of scammers. If you choose to go ahead and apply through Career Builder, just know you're taking a big chance.

“The reason behind their decision to update their site was to cater to the widest range of users. Consequently, the site now takes care of all your decision-making, which unfortunately severely hampers the overall user experience.”
